To keep in sync with the latest requirements and needs, we've introduced a new tool, HTML Data Loader (HDL) for Firefox & Chrome. Since Microsoft announced the retirement of Internet Explorer on 19-May-2021 and its eventual end of support on Jun 15, 2022, the need for a tool to support the latest web browsers became critical — and to meet this requirement we developed this new tool.
HTML Data Loader for Firefox & Chrome can be used to load data into Oracle EBS Self-Service Web Applications (SSWA) — the web-based HTML products in Oracle E-Business Suite that use OA Framework (OAF).
Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) and Chrome browsers are certified to be used with Oracle EBS. Reference Oracle Document ID: 389422.1
Using HTML Data Loader for Firefox & Chrome is the same as HTML Data Loader for IE — the functionality, look, and appearance are all the same. If you've used HTML Forms Data Loader for IE before, you won't feel any difference using the new HDL for Firefox and Chrome.
Record the template
Populate the template with your data from CSV or Excel
Load
To develop a load, record a template by logging in and opening the desired Oracle EBS web form in HTML Data Loader's built-in browser, then click Start Recording and enter a sample record by clicking and entering data in the items. As you enter data and click with the mouse, HDL automatically captures the items. After you finish entering data, save the sample record, complete the navigation, and click Stop Recording.
After finishing the first step, HDL for Firefox and Chrome shows the items you entered data for in spreadsheet format. You can now copy and paste data from Excel, or import it from a CSV or any delimited file, and save it.
After completing step 2, just click Start Loading and HDL for Firefox & Chrome will automatically launch the browser and navigate to the desired form from where you started recording. Click Start and watch HDL in action.
